House with prefabricated concrete cantilevered swimming pool

A nearly 12-metre cantilevered swimming pool weighing 15 tonnes adds character to the whole.

This is a unique prefabricated house in Valencia. It has been fully customised to suit the tastes of its owners. This architect-designed house, which is practically tailor-made, although inspired by several models from the inHAUS catalogue, ultimately forms a magical whole. It has two floors that form a cantilever (upper floor) over another cantilever (lower floor) that rests on the uneven terrain.

Finally, the ease with which the technical challenges were overcome makes another noteworthy fact almost anecdotal: the installation of a prefabricated concrete swimming pool, which was put in place on the same morning as the house. A structure measuring almost 12 metres in cantilever and weighing 15 tonnes, it gives character to the whole.

A living area of 249 m² spread over two floors. And another very important innovation. inHAUS has already installed two prefabricated swimming pools in two of its latest houses. But this time, the swimming pool was manufactured by the company itself. It is made of concrete, 100% with inHAUS technology. A large 12-metre-long swimming pool, supported by powerful pillars. As if it were suspended in the air. An ‘overflow’ type swimming pool with a view of the horizon. inHAUS does not carry out projects that only include a swimming pool, but offers different swimming pool options with its houses in order to provide a complete service. Different solutions for the most demanding customers.

A prefabricated cantilevered swimming pool

A large 12-metre-long swimming pool, supported by powerful pillars. As if suspended in mid-air. An infinity-style pool with views of the horizon.

A large kitchen-living-dining room opens onto an L-shaped terrace and the swimming pool. All of this is located at street level and the main entrance, on a very steep slope.

Such a unique plot of land has a significant impact on the house. It is accessed from the upper part of the plot via a footbridge leading to the main door. You therefore enter via the first floor. This first floor houses the living area (kitchen, dining room and lounge), as well as the master suite. It is from this level that you access the swimming pool and terraces.

A sloping site resolved through
architectural design

The ground floor, located in the lower part of the sloping plot, comprises the other bedrooms and rooms, such as a laundry room and a second living room dedicated to leisure and games. This O-shaped house is built on a 1,800 square metre plot, dominated by an imposing grove.

The kitchen and living-dining room occupy a total area of 55 square metres, while the master bedroom, with its bathroom and large dressing room, occupies 32 square metres. The living area thus covers 99 square metres, including the entrance hall, toilet and pantry.

The ground floor covers 103 square metres and includes three further bedrooms and bathrooms, a living room with staircase (30 square metres), a study, a storage room and a laundry room. This prefabricated house with a prefabricated concrete swimming pool is complemented by over 40 metres of decking and a swimming pool measuring almost 30 square metres.

On-site assembly

The difficulties associated with steeply sloping terrain were overcome thanks to the EMOHA modular construction system and the experience gained in the field of installations.

Modular house from our 111 catalogue

The technical challenge of creating this set of volumes that appear to float in the air was overcome by the inHAUS LAB design team and thanks to the advantages and performance that only the EMOHA modular construction system can offer.
