A prefabricated house with a luxurious design

Mediterranean-style prefabricated house built in Madrid, Spain, inspired by our Annecy modular house model from the new 111 catalogue. The house has a surface area of 464 m² spread over two floors.

It stands out for its L-shaped layout and the use of a lateral or L-shaped volume. The complexity of the design and the result achieved with the envelope are also noteworthy. This envelope, which acts as the ‘skin of the house’, is made of a different material from the rest of the house in order to highlight the design.

It is a modular Mediterranean-style house, with technological wood as the main material used on the exterior. This material is very durable and easy to clean. The façade is covered with large-format ceramic tiles (120 x 60) with a continuous joint.

The entrance is very bright thanks to an interior patio and bay windows. On the ground floor, there are Japanese or suspended wooden stairs. These are accompanied by a suspended glass panel, fixed to the ceiling, which opens up the space, and a handrail embedded in the wall with lights.

On the lower floor, the living room is separated from the kitchen by an invisible door. Other noteworthy features include the skylight, which provides direct lighting to the living room. The kitchen is equipped with a very thick worktop that extends to form a space for breakfast or aperitifs. Here, design and functionality are one and the same.

The stairs lead to the double-height first floor and two further bedrooms.

Wood, a noble material

In this house, wood is undoubtedly the star material. Different shades and contrasts with warm, neutral colours in the other rooms. Wood is a key element in interior design projects, a noble and living material that exudes warmth. What’s more, it connects the house to its surroundings, creating atmospheres ranging from contemporary to timeless.

Wood is also a material with varied shades and textures, which can be chosen entirely according to the client’s tastes and the style they choose for their home.

On-site assembly

The modules of this L-shaped modular house were transported by lorry in one morning.

During the construction of this house, the rain played a nasty trick on us, the mud on the site made it almost impossible to install the crane, working hours were limited by access, daylight hours worked against us, and the rain and cold caused us great discomfort. But inHAUS’s resilient spirit, ready to take on all kinds of challenges, made it possible to build the house on the same day. Unforeseen events are inevitable, but what characterises a company is how it deals with them. At inHAUS, we face them head-on, with courage, effort and passion.

This prefabricated Mediterranean-style house has a clear and dominant L-shaped layout. This shape is accentuated by the house’s envelope, cantilevers and feet at the ends, which make its architecture possible. The modular house is spread over two floors and four bedrooms, among which we highlight the master suite with a dressing room and an office inside.
