Luxury modular house in Maresme

A prefabricated house with cantilevers that compensate for the slope of the land

Maison préfabriquée de luxe en Espagne avec porte-à-faux sur la façade
Luxury modular house in Spain, custom designed, distinguished by its cantilevered structure, interplay of volumes and porches.

A two-storey L-shaped modular house, custom designed in a Mediterranean style. A prefabricated house that adapts to the uneven terrain thanks to the junction of two independent spaces visually connected by a cantilever.

This cantilever is located in what appears to be the garage, but is actually a studio, and connects it to the rest of the house.

The route from the entrance of the house follows a gradual upward slope. It is accessed from a lower level and gradually ascends as you enter the residence. The steep slope of the land was easily overcome thanks to inHAUS’s experience with steeply sloping land, where verticality is exploited and adapts to the obliquity of the environment.

Luxury modular home, design and elegance

On the ground floor of the structure is a fully equipped workspace, which also serves as a workshop. This space is presented as an independent volume, visually separated from the main structure of the building. It is an annex to the main block that forms the prefabricated house, but is visually connected to it.

However, its design blends harmoniously with the imposing eaves of the house, creating an appearance of fusion between the two elements.

In addition, we can highlight the presence of cantilevers throughout the architectural design of the house, which allow for the creation of several porches to enjoy the outdoor space of the property.

These eaves, combined with the use of lateral volume, forming successive ‘L’ shapes on the façade, give the house more dynamism, while redirecting natural light and integrating it into the landscape. It was essential for our clients that the house have a fluid connection between the interior and exterior. That is why we worked extensively on the play of light and the large, oriented bay windows.

A sophisticated interior for a modular house with cantilevered sections

This high-end modular home features several details that give it a touch of elegance. One of these is the double-sided fireplace in the living room, which opens onto the kitchen.

The kitchen enjoys stunning views of the outdoors thanks to a large panoramic bay window. This feature not only fills this essential space with natural light, but also gives it a special significance.

This modular home meets the contemporary needs of modern living. There is a growing demand for home workspaces, either integrated into the main living areas or in separate structures.

Inside, design elements such as alcoves and floor-to-ceiling doors stand out. The owners of this industrialised house wanted to pay attention to every detail of the design of their home, and at inHAUS, we did our utmost to ensure that the design lived up to their expectations.

On-site assembly

The modules of this high-end prefabricated house were transported by lorry to Barcelona.

This customised residence, designed by inHAUS, was initially based on a model from the 111 catalogue, but underwent several significant modifications. The installation of the five modules and the canopy of this house was completed in just half a day. The slope of the land was easily overcome thanks to the experience of the inHAUS installation team.

inHAUSERS interview

Cristina and Jordi, the protagonists of this success story, tell us about their experience.

We had the opportunity to interview the owners of this spectacular luxury home in Maresme, Jordi and Cristina. They told us all about the details and how satisfied they were with the construction process.

During the interview, Cristina emphasised the details that led her to choose inHAUS to build her home, how they found us, and how satisfied they were with the process.

« This is one of the reasons why we chose inHAUS. Every detail, even architectural ones, is an integral part of the interior design. Ultimately, whether a window measures 3 metres or 1.5 metres will greatly influence the interior layout of a space and the amount of light it receives. At inHAUS, they explained everything to us at every stage, including things we didn’t know, such as the existence of south-facing and north-facing windows. This is not something that is taken into account in all constructions, but for us it was very important when building and designing our industrialised house. Everything is designed for a reason. »

Customising an inHAUS modular house

Customised design

The design of this prefabricated house reflects the owners’ desire for personalisation. The layout of this detached house clearly forms an L-shape, one of the favourite options for clients with the most demanding design requirements. It offers wide views in the best directions, while maintaining optimal coverage and privacy.

The diversity of materials used for the façades blends harmoniously. Ceramic cladding and single-layer mortar finishes combine perfectly with engineered wood, without detracting from the importance of the other elements of the structure.

Planimetry and layout

Luxury prefabricated house

The project was carried out in several phases. Initially, a house was designed and planned for a specific plot of land, which was ultimately not chosen as the final location. The project therefore had to be adapted to the new plot of land on which it was to be built. Ultimately, the choice fell on the design of this two-storey modular house, with two separate areas visually connected by cantilevers.
