An exclusive bespoke modular residence in Spain

This single-storey residence is set on a 900 m² plot. It was conceived as a retirement home for a couple with a very clear vision of their future lifestyle. From the earliest design stages, the owners had already defined the spatial layout and the type of spaces they wished to inhabit. The inHAUS team helped translate these aspirations into an architectural proposal that is coherent, elegant and highly functional.

With a built area of 248 m² and an L-shaped composition, the house is organised rationally around the main living area. This space opens generously towards the outdoors, naturally extending the interior towards the swimming pool and terraces through large glazed openings and a pergola designed to provide effective solar protection.

This strong relationship between indoor and outdoor living is one of the project’s defining principles: the house has been designed to be lived outwardly.

The material palette reflects the Mediterranean aesthetic sought by the owners. White rendered façades, architectural screens filtering light while preserving privacy, and a carefully curated selection of materials all contribute to the identity of the residence.

Outdoor spaces designed down
to the finest detail

The L-shaped layout embraces a generous terrace incorporating a lounge area and swimming pool, creating a carefully controlled void that concentrates outdoor living. Architectural screens positioned around the perimeter act as visual filters, enhancing privacy while maintaining openness towards the surroundings.

The succession of porches and cantilevers creates a subtle interplay of light and shadow, naturally protecting the home from intense Mediterranean sun exposure. At the same time, these architectural elements frame views and contribute to a serene atmosphere where interior and exterior spaces merge seamlessly.

The residence also includes an ancillary building together with a comprehensive interior and landscape design project developed by inHAUS. This holistic approach guarantees complete aesthetic and functional coherence throughout every aspect of the project.

A generous and highly
functional layout

The interior design follows a restrained and elegant approach in which materials play a fundamental role. Particular attention has been paid to the finishes selected for specific spaces, using materials personally chosen by the owners.

They wished to incorporate finishes with which they share a direct connection, giving the residence an even more distinctive identity. Each space thus becomes an expression of the lifestyle of those who inhabit it.

Inside, the spaces are organised through a clear and functional layout. The living and dining areas unfold within a generous open-plan environment directly connected to the kitchen.

The kitchen benefits from an independent utility and laundry area. Three bedrooms complete the programme, including a principal suite with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room. A large storage room further enhances the practicality of the home.
