Modular home on a sloping site
A modular home built on a steep hillside plot with outstanding views over
the landscapes surrounding Barcelona
This bespoke prefabricated residence was designed to make the most of the open views across the natural scenery that surrounds Barcelona.
Because of the site’s pronounced slope, the house is arranged across two clearly differentiated levels. The parking area is positioned on the upper part of the plot, while the terrace and infinity pool are located on a lower level.
The home is developed on a single storey and consists of four industrialised modules. It provides 253 m² of built area on a plot of more than 1,500 m² with significant changes in elevation.
The owners chose to work with inHAUS because they were looking for a design-led home delivered within a controlled budget and an optimised construction schedule.
In just four months, 95% of the house was manufactured in our facilities, ready to be transported and installed on site.

Architecture designed around
the site's natural slope
The natural changes in elevation and the open views across the surrounding landscape have been carefully utilised to connect the home’s main living spaces — the kitchen, dining area and principal suite — with the outdoors.
The façade, clad in large-format ceramic finishes, reinforces the purity of the architectural volumes through clean lines and a strong horizontal composition. The entrance combines different materials, including ceramic cladding and composite timber panelling, creating an elegant transition into the home.
The living area is organised through a fluid sequence linking the kitchen, lounge and dining room. These spaces remain visually connected while being subtly defined by architectural features. A partition wall incorporating a fireplace and a backlit shelving unit separates the kitchen from the lounge, while a series of columns creates a distinction between the lounge and dining areas.
The kitchen, centred around a large island and finished in neutral grey tones, offers a spacious and highly functional environment. A large picture window frames the surrounding landscape and fills the space with natural light.
Elegant and refined interior
design by inHAUS
The interior design project, developed entirely by inHAUS, was conceived as a natural extension of the architecture. The home embraces a calm and timeless palette where warm whites, sandy tones and wood-effect finishes create a bright, welcoming and balanced atmosphere.
Against this neutral backdrop, terracotta emerges as the project’s defining accent colour. It appears in carefully selected elements, from furniture pieces and decorative lighting to the large feature panel in the living room and the sliding door connecting this space with the principal suite.
This feature becomes one of the home’s most distinctive design elements, allowing the two spaces to be separated while maintaining visual continuity and a sense of openness.
The furniture and decorative selection combines contemporary design, craftsmanship and natural materials. Brands such as Punt Mobles, Joquer, Treku, Ondarreta, Marset and Aromas contribute refined pieces that reinforce the warm and sophisticated character of the interiors, prioritising quality, functionality and everyday comfort over excessive decoration.
Lighting also plays a central role throughout the project. Pendant lights, sculptural fixtures and ambient lighting help define each space while creating different layers of depth and warmth throughout the day.
The result is a carefully considered interior design scheme where architecture, furniture, lighting and materiality work together to create a home that is elegant, contemporary and designed to stand the test of time.
A modular home surrounded by exceptional scenery
The customisation of an inHAUS modular home
Designed entirely to measure, this home demonstrates the importance of adapting architecture both to the needs of its owners and to the specific characteristics of the plot.
The internal layout has been carefully planned to orient the main living spaces towards the spectacular views while making the most of the site’s natural topography.
The interior design project developed by inHAUS incorporates bespoke solutions that reinforce the home’s identity, including the strategic use of terracotta tones and the integration of architectural dividing elements that add character to each space.
The result is a contemporary modular home where architecture, interior design and landscape work together to create a truly unique living experience.
Plan and layout
The entire programme is arranged on a single level, promoting comfortable circulation and a direct relationship between all areas of the house.
The layout positions the main living spaces according to the site’s best orientations, allowing the kitchen, dining room, lounge and principal suite to enjoy privileged views across the landscape. The day areas remain connected while being subtly differentiated, without compromising openness or visual continuity.
The night area includes two bedrooms and three bathrooms, complemented by a study and a generous utility room. The result is a balanced and functional layout designed to support everyday family life.
